This piece was created as part of a series of painting exercises in 2015, as I was just returning to painting. It’s been a favorite of mine in the studio since then. I’ve looked to it for that spark of inspiration countless times. The color and brushwork started me on a path that eventually led me to the yes/and series also available now. (And bonus - it’s one of the few pieces remaining in my studio with my old signature style!)
